David and I locked in some tickets to the Sunday afternoon Redskins home game as they hosted the 49ers.

David (age 10) had the great fortune to spend a week at Space Camp this summer. Needless to say it was a fantastic time for him and he proudly proclaimed that it was the third best thing in his life (after his mom and dad and the birth of his baby brother).

Still not quite sure what my son and his friend next door were up to but captured an afternoon of backyard construction work.

An encapsulation of youthful innocence:

The Labor Day Holiday weekend, lengthened by one day due to the threat of Hurricane Earl, was spent visiting Rhonda’s parents (Western Maryland), spending time at the Thunder Over the Blue Ridge Airshow, and relaxing.

David and I, with the puppy (Jesús) is tow, took some time to explore off the beaten path. I was reminded of some of the simple pleasures that life has to offer.
